SL/R129: analogue to digital cluster switch

analogue to digital cluster switch
Hello,
I decided to install cluster with digital odometer from 1995 500SL on my 1991 500SL which had analogue odometer. Before doing that I did some research and some people in the Internet said they were able to do the without problems. So, I got the cluster, plugged it and some gauges do not work (including odometer and speedometer) and some lights are on. So, does anybody know for sure what is needed to be done, will it work or I have to return the cluster and buy the same with analogue odometer causing problems? The cluster repair specialists are not sure if they can do such conversion and they never done it before. I didn't go to Mercedes because they probably won't accept my used part and suggest to put their new part, convert it and charge me thousands of dollars I can not afford.

At Mercedes they told me they were replacing clusters without modifying them. Mechanic asked me what year is the cluster. I said 1995, he said should work if not broken. So, I am totally confused. Nobody knows anything, even cluster repair specialists.

1999 SL500 129 42,000 Original miles
Need help on Micro Switch
Have a 1999 SL500 AMG with 42,000 miles, Recently had the cylinders on the Convertible replaced as one was leaking. After the repair the Red Button on the dash to open and close top stayed on. I advised he Mechanic and he stated that the Micro Switch was bad. He had to order one for Germany. Next he stated they could not find one and where looking for a Used one. I can drive the car but, would like to find a switch and fix car correctly.
Does any on have any info on where I can purchase on to fix the Top??
