SL/R129: power window question

i own a 1999 w129 SL500
power window question
My 1999 sl 500 power windows automatically go down when u tap the button but won't go up. this is annoying especially because I used to own a 91 sl 300 and they rolled automatically both ways. is this normal for my 99 to do this is there a fix or an upgrade I can do to fix this.

1992 400E, 1997 SL500, 2009 R350, 1998 SL500 (for sale)
I don't know about MY 1999; but the windows on my 1997 & 1998 will go down with a tap, but not back up. I think the feature is to allow for rapid window lowering to pay tolls. etc.
