Problems With OE Sound System??
Just had my CD Changer repaired. '02 R129. When loading a magazine with CD's inside, it recognized the magazine but said it was empty. Not good.
Went on line, investigating used units. Most were pretty beat up, of questionable life expectancy and were priced off the charts.
Took the car in to my local BMW/Mercedes specialist. Told him about the changer, he referred me to this gentleman. Called him, as soon as I related the symptoms, he knew exactly what the problem was.
He had it 1 day, he repaired it, cleaned it and guarantees his work. He estimated a max of $135, it came in at $127 and change.
It works beautifully... He knows all of the earlier audio equipment including cassettes and heads etc. plus he's a great guy. If your having a problem with your system, call him.
I'm not related to him, I have no gains in mentioning him other than sharing a great experience and maybe keeping perfectly good audio equipment from winding up in a land-fill.
