SL/R129: SL320 side vent mesh problem

SL320 side vent mesh problem
guys, do you know if the mesh on the side vent panels can be bought separately? or do i have to buy a new side vent panel to replace it? since the mesh on my side vents have holes in then already due to age

I am glad to hear that someone else has this problem.Mine is on the passenger side and when I asked MB parts to order me a new screen,they just laughed.When asked why they were laughing over a $6.00 part,I was informed that is wasn't $6.oo,but $236! I almost keeled over on the spot.It turns out that it is an entire unit,no seperate parts.Yoo pop off the panel and put a whole new panel in.So I am thinking that maybe some creative work using fibergass screening material is in order here.
