How to take apart 3-peice AMG (OZ) wheels?
Hi-
I have a set of the 3-piece AMG wheels for the R129 SL that were made by OZ. The bolts are a 10-point, custom job holding the wheels together. I'm sure some members of this forum have these on their SL's. OZ has told me that only their company can take them apart to the tune of $75/wheel. I'd like to have mine painted and didn't want to pay an additional $300 just to take the damn things apart. Wheel Specialists here in Phoenix had a custom socket made and they charge $150/wheel! Anbody know of a custom tool builder or have access to one of these sockets? Any help would be appreciated!
