Hi all, my R129 SL500 1992 is stuck in reverse. I can shift the auto gear stick into neutral and the car still wants to drive in reverse. I can shift into drive but the car still wants to reverse. I can apply throttle in drive and the car will move forward but I can feel it fighting the reverse. If I drive forward the car shakes and stops.
Can anyone out there offer any help to the cause before I take it to Mercedes after the weekend.

I have a 2004 SL500 - when I stop and attempt to put it in park, it gets locked in neutral - I have to shut the car off, and
then put it in park - it happens most of the time when I go to stop - it is intermittent, as sometimes it will go all the way
to park if I'm lucky, LOL Could this be the brake switch, or a shifter module?
