Driveshaft - Rubber Flex Disk & Carrier Bearing

Anyone replaced these lately...
My front one was cracked and the carrier bearing unit was deteriorated to the point where there was a significant vibration...
20 years and 165,000 miles...

OUCH !!!

I'll bet that made some noise... that became a serious and expensive repair.

I read about this happening and decided I had better take action now...

Was this a V8 car or a V12 ?

300D I think it was... Failure by caused not by extreme torque, but rather by extreme neglect. You have to be both deaf and numb to not see this coming.

That driveshaft must have been flopping around in there for some time to reach the point of no return like that... how could one actually drive it...
