AMG AERO WHEELS - Tire Fitment - Want to go wider
has anyone ever run wider tyres on the amg aero 17" wheels?
stock came with 235/45/17
rear 265/40/17
I want to go wider to protect the lip of the wheels and also get the max grip possible. my r129 is a 2001 with sports package it came factory with 245 and 275 rears in 18"
wheels are 17x8.5 and 17x10j
thanks

the issue I experienced was front wheel and the suspension boot As I recall the tread width was not the key but the side wall bulge was where the rub was!
Back wheel had much more space.
My experience is the ride gets harsher with less side wall, so I now use a conservative "benz engineer" set up!
Not as cool as some, but if I need cool the 37 Cord meets the bill for me!

Any images of your car with the wheel setup? So what tire sizes are you running?
