1994 sl500 rearview mirror
Hello,Does anyone know how the inside rearview mirror works its obviously electrically controlled to adjust it.
I don't see any switch for it on dash or console
Help would be,appreciated

The mirror is not electrically operated. It may have auto-dimming via an electronic rear-facing sensor and programmable garage door openers, but that's all. Be very careful as plastic housing becomes rather fragile with age and an original replacement is not affordable.

bobterry99 has the answer, however not all R 129's have electrical positioning of the interior mirror. The mirror adjustment switch in some production runs, has three positions and the center position makes the toggle part of the switch control the interior mirror.
From personal experience you can manually adjust the interior mirror with your hand! In some models ( like the 600 I currently drive ) it will only cost dollars to repair and smirks from the shop mechanic!

Thanks guys mine is remote because it will not move by hand.and the first on I had I did try to move it by hand and it fell apart and broke so I got a replacement on from same year and due to the fact there are to wire connectors I new it had to be controlled some how.

So put outside mirror switch in middle and use it as toggle switch for inside mirror.. got it
