1994 sl500 SRS indicated on dash
Hello I have an annoying light on my dash that won't go out.SRS.I have heard this is the restraint System.
Does anyone know how to get rid of this???

seat belt. not in locked position. wire broken, maybe airbag issue

Our model year has two systems to diagnose engine and systems. So the basic is a blink system that matches up two posts and you observe the light pulses. the other is a OBD1 system
I have a shop look after my "fleet", but often get in and replace the wiring, module or part depending on what the test reveal.
I find the diagnostic leads shorten the hunt for the right answer!
member bobterry99 has good history and diagnostic skills maybe he will answer!

Reading codes from the SRS controller will diagnose the problem. On a '94 and later car you need Star Diagnosis (SDS) or an equivalent system to do that for the SRS. Alternatively, you may choose to simply pull the cluster and remove the SRS bulb.
