1991 MB 500SL Concerns/Questions

I need some help here. I am currently looking into purchasing a 1991 500SL with 82,000 miles currently on the car. Only major issue is the pump for the convertible top needs to be replaced.

I am hoping someone can answer the following questions for me:
1. How many miles will a well-maintained engine in this car generally last?
2. What (if any) major issues is this specific model notorious for?
3. Around how much $$ will it be to fix the convertible top pump?
4. What are some places that I could purchase aftermarket parts such as a new exhaust?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Thank you

The M119 motor in that car is legendary for its durability and longevity.

Are you sure this vehicle needs a pump motor? Have the fuse and control relay been checked?

I have a complete used pump assembly that I will sell at a small discount to whatever you may find on eBay.

That's great to hear thanks. And no I'm not 100% sure it needs a pump motor but that is what the previous owner said needed to be fixed. I have yet to take it to my mechanic to get his personal opinion.
