Driver side window won't go back up
My 95 sl320 driver side window is partially open and won't go back up. The problem started some time ago that when you open the door, the window will partially drop down and then not go back up when I close the door. But then it will reset by itself after awhile. However, it didn't reset this time and now the driver side window is left partially open. I tried the window controller on the middle console to move it up or down, but it didn't move the window at all. I have no problem with the passenger side window. It works alright. Please help. Thanks.

fuse, wire switch
The fuse would be my first exploration. Old metal may look right, but time and metal erosion can render the AL fuse non functional. Many have replaced with the Cu clad ceramic bullet.
The wiring, with door panel removal has been the cause. (both wiring and vacuum line often are not reconnected )
The switch on the console is an easy test, just unplug the wiring to the switch not functioning and plug into the working.
Good luck with your sort.
