The passenger and driver's seat in my 2000 SL500 have stopped functioning. I have checked the fuses and all appear to be ok. I wouldn't think this was a seat motor or door switch problem because both seats don't work. All functions worked perfectly until recently. Now the seats are stuck in an uncomfortable forward position because my wife was the last to drive the car with functioning controls. Anyone know of any relays or other switches that may impair the seats from operating?

The problem may be the "CF" relay that powers the seat controllers; if so, then the steering wheel adjustment won't work either. The CF module is discussed in this current thread: https://mbworld.org/forums/sl-class-...-problems.html.

Thanks for the reply bobterry99. Actually the power assisted steering adjustment works fine. Confusing.....

Hi mate I'm having the same issues myself. Bobterry99 has been giving me some pointers (see his link). I think we are closing in on the issue so I will keep posting up on my thread. Good luck
