Interior lights

Does anyone know if the interior lights which come on when the doors open use a seperate fuse than what is under the bonnet?

The bulbs are fine as when they are manually switched on, they work but the doors will not trigger the lights on/off when on the setting to do so.

Is there a fuse or something located in the plastic area around the interior lights as I cannot find a fuse for this function.

Thanks

There's no fuse in there - but there is a connector which might have worked loose. Pull the rear-view mirror out of the sprung holder, remove the two plastic lenses and you have three screws to remove the roof console. Yould find connectors each side to the visors and a bigger connector. This unit had the air-con temperature sensor in it. The switch may be faulty, you can replace for about $20.

KevinJ, I have the same problem. Did you ever get yours fixed? I suspect it is the PCB above the rear view mirror and you have to buy the complete overhead counsel.

Hi, my interior overhead lights won't switch off after the car is locked or after the key is turned iin the ignition, unless manually switched off.
This happened after i stupidly installed new bulbs without first switching the lights off- got a spark and some smoke...
( I was replacing older yellowish smd led panel with white smd leds to match the rest of my car- i put the old yellow panels back in until i find a solution...)
I'd like to know if my problem is the same as the one above, and where I can find the n2/4 control module- is it in the separate box above the fuse box under the hood?
Thanks in advance for help/guidance
Dan
