Brake Booster seal repair kit ?

Has anyone tried this booster plunger seal repair kit?

URO Parts Repair Kit 001 430 0708 for ATE Brake Booster Plunger Seal 03.7718-5028.1

R/R video from youtube:

I have hissing under the dash when I press the brake and a hard brake pedal after its down about half way.
My '97 R129 SL500 has an ATE booster and master cylinder so I was thinking of giving this a try.

Any input??

I did not pursue this repair kit. I ended up replacing the booster -- which solved the issue.

Best of luck!

R129 brake booster

Hi - I need to replace the brake booster on my 1998 SL500, the part number of my existing booster is 004 430 4930 but 'm having difficulty finding it. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thank you very much.

Did you end up getting this fixed? I got the seal kit but it was really difficult to install and one of the ribs of the seal tore off when I very carefully tried to install it with the included PVC pipe. $50 down the drain... and it still hisses. The old seal was indeed bad, so not sure if I try again. Finding a booster is almost impossible at this point. part number 0044304930 is NLA, and $700 on eBay, or rebuild service is $1000. OUCH!
