SL/R129: Roll bar - top stuck?

Roll bar - top stuck?
Can anyone help?
I removed my center console, briefly disconnected my switches, now the roll bar is stuck in the up position and the top won't operate. I held the roll bar switch in the up position for 15 seconds to reset it, heard the clicking but no luck.
The window operation as part of the top was working in reverse briefly, I synced the windows and now the top switch does nothing.
How can I fix this?

depending on the model year??? the reset may be different
The wiring of the switches may have been damaged in the removal-replacement process. Depending on the wiring harness connections and the surrounding cover over the wire an exposed section might be "shorting" the proper signals.
I would stat with retracing those issues. The top controller could have been confused and testing for codes would be a start.
Look to Klaus of Top Hydraulics and Bobterry99 for excellent answers

There are several relevant fuses found in both front and rear fuse boxes. Just check each and every one. If those are okay, then read/erase/re-read codes from the roof controller ECU using Star Diagnosis (SDS). You can put an SDS system together for about $325 or take your car to a shop equipped with one.

My mechanic hooked up the diagnostic reader under the hood reset the code, nothing. He reset the actual switch, nothing. He thinks it's stuck in the automatic up position. How can we reset that?

With the lamp in the roof control switch out have someone operate the roll bar switch while you listen for the pump running with the trunk lid open. If the pump runs, check the level of hydraulic fluid in the pump reservoir in the floor of the trunk. If it doesn't run, then check all fuses in both the front and rear fuse box.
