Hi all,

I'm new to the forum and to Mercedes cars.
I purchased a nice (very good condition) 1998 SL500 last April locally from a 85 year old car guy who had it for 4 years. Prior to that it was from Florida. It has 85,000 miles, new top 3 years ago with several hydraulic cyl replaced, interior nice condition, etc. It came with a Panoramic roof that looks like it rarely got used. I'm in Chicago area and in this area these kind of cars are stored inside in Winter and only driven in nice weather.

It seems that prices of these cars has gone down within the last year and I am planning to sell it since I never drive it and have put only 500 mi on it in a year and spent $$ on front end work and hydraulic cyl work.

Should I try to sell the Pano roof separately from the car to hopefully break even?
It is a maroon color with tan inside.

I have a panoramic top on my 1997 SL320.( R-129 body) It is clear with a retractable sun screen built in the rear, that works like a shade when pulled forward. It is option #415 according to the original window sticker. I would consider selling it if you are interested.
