R129 wheel and tire fitment
I have a 1999 SL500 that the previous owner put some really ugly and bad riding 20 inch wheels and tires on. I would like to put some 5 spoke AMG 17 or 18 inch wheels on it but I am not sure what models/years would fit on my car. Rim width? Maybe part numbers? I would also like to put wider tires on the rear and have read they call them staggered wheels. Can anyone help me with my issue at hand for fitment? Thanks for any and all help. neveridle

I assume either you have sorted out the issue or replaced the car by now? :P
275 / 35 in the back and 245 / 40 in the front on 18-inch AMG wheels comes as stock on the r129 with sport or amg-package
They are 8.5 and 10 wide (staggered as they say)
