Hi I bought a 1999 SL350 with later fusebox blade fuses and hall sensors in door motor car had a non working roof, I reasoned it has something to do with the passenger electric window.
This made a rachetting sound when reaching fully up position

All work carried out with Passenger door latched closed and drivers door is latched closed and 1 touch feature works only on drivers door
I fitted a new motor which cured the noise except after the window went up if you operate the switch it only drop about an inch then nothing it will go back up to closed

I removed the motor and operated it by the switch it works fine either direction.
I lower the door glass half way and refitted the motor I attempted to set the limits to the controller but it didn't learn them
But the window went up and down and the roof worked perfectly
I opened the passenger door and now no roof operation and the window will only go down an inch

So the passenger window will not drop when you open the door is there a micro switch that controls this there seems to be a thin wire going to the door lock
