Redid my shifter and snapped the clear, thin plastic plate that goes directly over the gear position indicator (P,R,D,3,2) card. Anyone know the part number for the
this thing or which one of the two housings that needs to be purchased if it can't be bought separately? I have tried and can't reference it. Parts guys just stare at me. need clear plastic overlay
Have a go at making a new one ... looks pretty straight forward as you already have a pattern.
Find a plastic shop (maybe a sign shop) and buy a piece to do the job. They might even be able to cut one out for you.
If it's got a curve in it use a heat gun on low, or a hair drier, to warm it up and bend it to match.
