so, I don't use my horn often and I had to use it the other day and noticed that it wasn't as loud as it should be and it sounded like only one of the horns were working. So I have looked under the hood for these horns casually but I cant seem to find them and I have searched the web and you tube and cant find them, where are they located please.

Thank you, I had a feeling it was behind the front fascia, wish they would have kept the old German style horns like they used on the Benzes from the 80s and older, they tend to be louder.

Both of our horns stopped working at one stage - outmechanic got one going by fiddling with with the wires. The other we abandoned.

It sounds sick when blown ... but at least makes some noise.

Why (2) frequencies MB ??

I guess they wanted them to sound more American, I don t know why, like I said I liked the older horns more, there are times I wish I would have bought a 1977 450SLC I know how to work on them, this SL500 there are things I wont touch.
