How best to repair 3rd brake light?

Probably a broken wire in a rubber sheath at the hinge of the trunk ... a common place for the wire to snap from fatigue.

Thanks, I've read enough and thought it may be that. But I was wondering if there were any videos on how to do. I would imagine it's not that difficult but was not sure if I need to get into the trunk lid upholstery as I gave up because something would not give. Also wondered if it might be the bulb. Thanks for the reply.
