SL/R129: What Could I Realistically Sell my 1999 SL500 Sport For?
Paint is good. Only thing is it needs a new headliner on the hard top (not necessarily urgent). I had test driven a few over the years and was always turned off by how stuff was falling apart and just how old they looked in person. This car actually shocked me in how good condition it was in.
Don't care if I lose too much money on it, but just want to see for people that have sold theirs recently...how long did it take to sell? Mine is high mileage as well btw which might be an issue at 176k miles. It does have the sports package with staggered AMG wheels and xenon projector headlights though which I believe are somewhat rare. I don't want to necessarily sit on it for months, but also don't want to just give it away.

BaT is a site that charges little to list, so the buyer is paying most of the fee. On a regular basis the site has R 129's but the range is 6K to 28K,
depending on condition and history tells the tale. This world and another site has very focused owners so this is not a place to catch a motivated buyers.
The forum has many experts and very few dreamers!
Good luck with your project to sell.

I think the major problem is the mileage and many are afraid of maintenance/repair.
That's what any buyer is doing so might as well learn your competition and price accordingly.
