Angry 2000 SL500 Wiring Harness

My mechanic tells me I need a wiring harness and "you just can't find them anymore". Surely there has to be a source for these. Anyone have any ideas? I'm a desperate man!

Keep the harness and find a new mechanic. Just a hunch I have.

I wish!

I wish I could tell the entire story on here, but I wouldn't doubt that he or someone from his shop is on the site. This has been the most frustrating and one of the most costly experiences ever. You are right, but I'm so deep in now, I can't go back. I see harnesses on eBay all the time, but he says they have to be specific to the car. If you or anyone else knows a source I could turn to or can give any advice, I'm open.

Because of the obvious implications of that statement, it may displease your tech to read it.

If you are concerned with privacy, you could communicate with the forum members via PM.

At any rate, the harness from any '99-'02 SL500 should be a proper replacement for your existing one.

Finally, if you have a lucky dollar, you do know there is a Roulette wheel close to you in North Carolina?

Ha! Somehow, I don't see my mechanic as different from a casino. It's a gamble and the house always wins!
