No regrets, I didn't buy the car to sell it later for a profit. I bought it to enjoy it.
I guess the guy who paid $140K for my car when it was new might feel differently, but I got to meet an original SL600 owner (triple black 98) earlier this year and I asked the question.
He got as much pleasure out of owning his car as I did. His ONLY regret was not being in good enough health to drive is as often as he liked.
Having written this, I'm not really a fan of the 93-95 SL600s. They are obviously great cars, but they require more maintenance (dual coils, wires, distributor caps, etc.) and don't have as advanced safety features (ADS II, BAS, etc.) I think most of the early issues (and there are a bunch) with the V12 were ironed out for the later cars.

I don't know if I paid too much but the car was in great shape and did not cost me much in maintenance.
Allowed me to spend the extra money on installing AMG parts. And now the car has a new upgraded engine with less than 25k miles on it.
I never consider my cars as investments, but you never know, someone may be willing to pay top dollar for all the hard work I did.
