Cracks in 17" AMG 3-Peice Wheels!
I don't think this has been posted here but we are trying to collect information with anyone who owns the 17" 3-peice AMG wheels from the early to mid 90's, (Made by OZ). They have been found to have an extremely high rate of fracturing around the lug holes and even other areas of the rim. Here's a thread from another forum showing some photos. They can be very unsafe, and, at a cost of $4000+ when new, worth OZ recalling them even if the warranty is expired. Anyone with these wheels please check them carefully and post photos if you find any fracturing. We will keep a rolling list. These wheels can also be found on W126 chassis as well as some W124 chassis. Thanks for your time! Link:
