M113k swap

Hello all, has anyone done and shared info about an m113k swap from an SL55, e55, etc into the r129? I have a 99 500sl and it has the standard m113. I figure the bolt in process should be easy enough especially given that the transmissions are the same 722.6. The problem would be the wiring harness and ecu and getting all the electrical stuff figured out. I've seen some mention of CLs swapped to the m113k but never an SL. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I saw that one, he swapped an NA amg engine, not the supercharged one, it helps a little, but not a lot as it was basically plug and play

Swapping out a Naturally Aspirated M113 for a force induced one is not plug and play for sure.
You may want to change out your complete intake manifolds along with the furl rails, and one thing you are definitely going to face is.... ta taaaaa WIRING HARNESS issues.

You will also need to swap out your ECU for this and virginize it too.

Then comes your transmission and rear diffs. That's a whole other story.

How's your swap project doing last I saw you were looking for an ECU tune. Did you do that or is it running fine as is?

This may be an option if you get a 5.5 M113 in the car.

The car is running fine, that's why I haven't even bothered with the tune yet.
Also, the tuner is asking $1500 for this, it's time consuming as he will be performing the dyno runs, parameter checks and adaptations and working along side Jerry from Eurocharged to get the tune just perfect.. not only to simulate the 55 AMG tune, but actually a nice power bump up to to 385hp too.

I'm saving up as we speak. School fees are killing me!

Have you had it on a dyno to see what it puts out now after the swap?
