SL/R129: early 500sl 129 top control module problem

early 500sl 129 top control module problem
Top module part # 1298200097
The windows work fine,the roll bar and top do not work ,the light on the switch is off,when try to operate just blink in both positions.
The cycle is complete. With another top module, top and roll bar work fine.
The module does NOT communicate with SD connect star.
The question :
Is the inside 8-BIT MICROCONTROLLER bad and if so could it be replaced with another one without reprogramming or is it something else.
Any input will be appreciated.
If anyone has a core ( bad one) for sale I would consider buying it
