Battery changeed , now security lights flash and drain the battery
Hi guys
New to the forum. I just bought a 1990 SL 500. The battery was changed, however the lights would flash on their own when the car is parked and only turn off when I manually lock the doors. I am guessing this a the anti theft system. I left the car for a few days and found that the brand new battery had been drained.
I replaced the batteries on the key fob but it doesn't seem to work anymore to turn off the anti theft system
Any suggestions on how I can turn off the anti theft without the key fob working?
Or maybe the lights flashing at park is not an antitheft issue?
