I'm trying to repalce my beat up 2001 key shell and move the key internals to the brand new shell, but the transponder chip is glued stuck inside the old shell or is for some reason combined with the shell. Is this normal? How do I get it out?

 

Carefully pry it out with a jewlers small screw driver be sure to put a dab of glue on it in the new case if it's not in the right place the car wont start

 

Thinking of doing this as well. Where'd you pick up the shell from?
