I saw a couple on Craigslist listed this past year for around $2k USD - but those sat for months and I have no clue if they even sold.

I would say $1.5-$2k USD is what you'll get. Test the market a little higher and depending on how fast you want to sell, inch down in price.

i am shopping for one. Found two at 2k, both wouldnt budge a dollar under, but both were different colors interior or exterior.

im in new york, seeking a tan interior one, exterior i can paint

Is a desirable option ... in many states / provinces.
Very nice for winter driving.
A sleeker look as well - not many know true difference.
Color exterior & interior is a consideration - but that can all be fixed.

Owning one, I'd say 2k on the low end, 2.5 - 3K on the high. Depends on location, time of year and condition. These things hold their value.

People will tell you they'er worth "$4,000", but try to find a buyer at that price. I sold one of these on Ebay recently and was happy to get $2500 after months of waiting for a buyer. These tops are very desirable but there aren't a lot of buyers out there. If you're in no hurry you could wait several months and get a higher price. You will need to have local pickup only since they weigh around 90+ lbs and shipping is really a challenge. Good luck!
