Sticky door panel surface
On my 98 SL500 drivers side door panel has become sticky on the top center. I have tried to clean it and nothing works to get rid of this problem. I'd even get a new panel if one was available , plenty of passenger side but no driver sides. Has someone else faced this issue?

Try methylated spirits, I had a similar problem with a sticky headlight switch panel and steering wheel in a S350, I too tried most cleaning products, but the methylated spirits was the only one that worked.

sorry had to look up what its called in the US, Denatured alcohol is methylated spirits here in Australia.
