Sun visor Mounting washers?!?

I am replacing the clips for the visor and the visor is held on by what looks to be an internal tooth lock washer with distinctly long teeth. I've gone to two auto parts store and two hardware stores and can find them anywhere.. I've seen them referred to as both m5 and 1/4". Anywhere know where I can find these? It's driving me nuts

Many owners have just re-used these.
I re-used them.

Unfortunately one of them broke when I was taking the visor apart. And I am struggling to find one.

Chances are you can find the replacement parts on EBay.

here ya go. I've heard the one needed is the M5 and you may have to trim the inside of the clip a little to get it to fit just right, though I'm gonna try not messing with it. Essentially put in the starlock over the post and 8mm socket on top and hammer in place.

Next time just pull the visor from the rod when replacing the corner cover.

They come off easily enough.

Yes.

I find it easier to pull them with the hard top off, but it doesn't matter. It's nice to have the HT off for any windshield header work.

Just do a search on benz r129 visor removal or just click http://www.benzworld.org/forums/5011539-post85.html and read the whole thread.

Removing the visors the fist time is always the hardest, but after that it's the easiest way by far.
