SL/R129: 1998 R129,Cylinders replaced no electric in front, wont unlatched

1998 R129,Cylinders replaced no electric in front, wont unlatched
I have searched the forum intensively, but have not found any similar situation, i have an 1998 SL 129, we just replaced all the cylinders of the roof, the hard top is on the car now, when we tried to activate the top we see the back is working and there is lifting action
However the front is not, you can't hear the cylinders, it seems there is not electricity coming to the front. the front just does not unlatch
The car was done by my mechanic, it is still in the shop..
I was wondering if anyone would have an idea of what to look at ? and where ?
