Silver Arrow Wheels
I have just purchased a 2002 SL500 Silver Arrow and of course the trim rings on the original and unique to this model wheels are scuffed. I understand the two piece wheel needs to be separated and the trim ring removed/replaced. Anyone have information on who does this work? I have researched and talked to a number of wheel repair shops, none of them do it. I believe they are BBS wheels. Thanks to all for any information.

Congrats on your purchase! The trim rings are the same as on some much more common Jaguars. A guy in UK sells them (or was selling them) and apparently they are not that difficult to replace. Once you have the rings, any better wheel shop should be able to do the job if you don't do it yourself. Search the British Mercedes and Jaguar forums.

Thank you very much for the information. I will check them out. So far have not found anyone in the States that has or can get the rings. Most shops generally just remove them and polish the rim edge.

I just purchased a set of 4 trim rings for my 2002 SL600 Silver Arrow. They arrived from the UK in less than a week in perfect condition.

Any decent wheel repair shop should be able to install them on your wheels.

Thank you!! I will follow with him and hopefully get a set ordered. Do you mind telling me what your cost was. BTW, congrats on the SL600 SA, I have never seen one, just pics.
