SL/R129: Cluster lights are out

Cluster lights are out
Hey all, I have a 99 r129 sl500. Amazing, beautiful machine.
Issue was, My speedo back light was out.
So I removed the cluster. Removed and replaced the little bulb with one from the dummy lights that was not being used. Turns out the bulb I replaced was the exclamation teiangle for the track control. Which does illuminate with key on.
After reinstalling the cluster, now none of the back lights work! What the heck! I bought it with the speedo light out. Finally got around to replacing it and now none of the back lights are on. Speedo tach fuel clock...
What works. Turn signals, all trouble indicators on the bottom row, odometer and trip lights. Basically all the small bulbs work but the larger 2w for illumination bulbs now none are working. I pulled them all and they all are ok. None are blown. Is this a board failure?
