2001 Strange locking system behavior
When I turn key to position 2 or start engine, the door locks automatically lock and the console button is disabled.
on my fob the unlock button doesn’t work but works to lock the car. The lock button works perfectly .
locking and unlocking with the keyblade normal functioning.. I’ve noticed proper functionality becomes more consistent during hot weather and summer and also sometimes via consistent use of the ac

I'd start with the simplest thing which is the unlock button on the fob has failed...perhaps a bad contact inside the fob.
Dumb question but do you have the 2nd fob and does that unlock button work?

Oh yeah! the second fob unlock button works and using that key the door locks operate like normal.... then eventually normal functionality reverts to that as if i'm using the original one
