After having some work completed by a shop on our 1998 SL500, I noticed that the headlights no longer moved up and down when we started the car. A little investigative work identified that the "Front Regulating Rod" was missing!!! Have not been able to find replacement parts with online searches. Any suggestions were to go or what to do??
That is where the problem is...been on order since October with the MB dealer here in Arlington, TX. If I could find a diagram with specifications, I would try to fabricate something. I understand that what is missing is just the ROD itself. That the micro-switch is there. The drawing is what I find when I search. Maybe I am not asking Google the right words!!
This appears to be the same part as the one I was using from older diagram. Do you have part number for the ADS II link rod for microswitch verse value??
