Front Bumper Issues
Hi Gang,
So,
I took my car (97 SL500) to my painter this week in order for him to re-paint the front bumper, and when he took it off we all got a big surprise.
It loos like there was some type of damage done, and a back-yard, half-*** attempt at a repair.
The inner structure support is mostly busted up and not repairable, although the external bumper cover is in good shape & salvageable.
My painter asked me to try to get my hands on the inner support piece and he can do the rest.
Of course.....Mercedes decided to discontinue making/selling these parts, and the used bumpers & parts on the internet are going for insane prices.
My question is, do any of you experts know of any sites that may have NOS pieces for sale, and if not, does anybody know where I can source such a piece without spending enough money that could buy me another car?
