I'm looking at a 98 SL500 that has had it's original wheels swapped for horrible early 2000's chrome boy racer wheels. I'm looking for original replacements locally, but the car needs two tires before I can even start to drive it. I found an inexpensive set of decently attractive wheels with the correct bolt pattern and the right width. They're 17x8, with a 5x112 pattern, but they have an offset of 38, which is more than is spec'd for the car. I'm wondering if anyone has any advice on whether or not that would cause problems or if anyone has experience with this wheel. I MIGHT have a good lead on some MB wheels/tires, but I'm trying to contingency plan in case I can't find something from the factory. It's going to be a Sunday cruiser, so I'd like to get it going sooner rather than later, and then I have the time to search for proper wheels. Thanks, everyone!

Those wheels need reducer rings to bring bore to 66.6mm
