SL320 Steering wheel tilt
I have a 1996 SL 320 and the motor which tilts the steering wheel up and down and in and it doesn't work properly. The motor still works and the column moves in and out but not up or down. After viewing YOU tube I have found out the motor is good but the plastic shaft is broken. Where can I get a new piece? The Mercedez dealer I went to wanted to charge me over $1,000 to fix it because they said I had to buy a new motor. The plastic piece probably doesn't cost more than $5. Any help you can provide will be appreciated. Thank you.

Lots of MB parts are like this.
Some tech broke my car's power steering dipstick and I had to get the entire reservoir to get the dipstick.
Looks like eBay or a trip to a local junkyard are in your future.
