My door windows rattle when closing the door. Might this be a common problem for the r129? is there something i could read to figure out the rattle, list of parts needed maybe?

Pulling off the door panel to get a visual may help also if you see nothing holding up. It may need some cleaning and lubrication on pivot points. The window tracks get real dusty, scrub with a tooth brush, blow out as much dust as you can. I lube window tracks with some spray silicone, not much though.

The motors and glass are in close proximity when the windows are lowered and can contact each other.

Is you issue with the windows up or down?

There should be a piece of foam rubber between the glass and motor attached to the motor plus the regulator may be sloppy too It can be a real battle to quiet those doors.
