Ever since I bought my 1999 SL600 I thought, "wouldn't it be cool if I could find an old set of Silver arrow Gauge cluster and gear shift surround to put in mine." Initially I looked and found out that not only does mercedes not make them anymore, if you can find them separated from the car they came with it'll cost an absolute fortune. So I did the next best thing, spent an unknown amount of money on turned aluminum sheet, a used gauge cluster, gear shift gate, and hired a water jet company to cut the designs out. After months of that, and almost a year daydreaming about having a set of Silver Arrow trim, I finally installed it on my car.

 

Looks way better than the regular black background with the speckly disease.
