SL500 diagnose help
Hey guys I have a 2001 SL 500 silver arrow with 68K miles. Starting to get old and needing some work. I know how to fix stuff I just can’t diagnose. I’m going to be replacing the valve, cover gaskets and crank case breather hoses as well as the engine and trans mounts next weekend. Is there anything else I should address while I’m in there?
#1 light shaking at idle. Not too rough but I’m assuming it’s the motor mounts? Maybe flex disc
#2 squeaking coming from the rear end over bumps. I already have new struts and shocks to put on so I’m hoping that will be the fix. I’ll post a video below.
#3 clicking/knocking coming from the front end over bumps or a uneven dip in the road. Doesn’t affect the handling. Car feels like a boat but solid
#4 this is petty but it’s driving me crazy.Squeaking coming from the doorpanel. Sounds the like the leather/vinyl is rubbing but how should I go about fixing. I’ll post video below also.
