Hello all!

I've recently purchased an '02 SL500 and I'm currently searching for a sport front bumper cover. I've been searching for about 2 months, and in all that time have been able to track down less than 5. Each of those has been cracked worse than the one on my car, or cracked/repaired and I could end up with a cracked/repaired one on my own.

Couple questions - does anyone have any recommendations on where else to look (beyond marketplace, craigslist, junkyards, ebay, etc.)? Does anyone happen to have one they want to sell (even better if you're on the eastern half of the US - I will drive to pick up the bumper cover). And what have others done as a replacement when in this situation?

I've temporarily remedied the bumper enough, but it's definitely an ugly scar on an otherwise good looking car. My auto body repair place has recommended simply leaving it as is (not repairing the current bumper) and continuing to search.

I have a sport bumper color is red it doesn't have the fog lights or tow hooks, it came on my car already but I have been thinking of switching to original 1990 bumper and have found one local with lights and covers would just need to get it painted so I may sell the sport one. But I am in van Canada and it would be expensive to ship to you.

 

I had the same problem. My amg front bumper was wrecked but I managed to repair it and it looks very good now, its repainted. PM me if you want any advice, I can send you some Pictures of my bumper.
