It was a clear and warm (14 degrees C) day today. What an excellent day to drop the top and run arround doing errands!

We had more errands to do today than usual ... we had to drive about twice as far as we usually do on a weekend day.

I finished off the day (wife taking nap) by doing a few 0 to 210 Km, high speed straight and corner runs arround the local urban park (no intersections).

Was great fun. :v

does sound like fun!! What amazes me about the SL500(1999 and newer) is how quiet the engine is from the interior with the top up or hard top on, all you can (barely)hear to about 4000 RPM is the exhaust and as the engine is spinning to the redline the engine is barely audible, it's one of the quietest engines I have ever heard, but listening to the engine idling outside of the car, you can't help to think that it sounds sort of diesel-like.
