SL/R129: Seized front locking cylinders
Now it is getting cold outside so I put the hardtop on the car today and for the heck of it pushed the red raise/lower button in the car and to my SURPRISE it pulled to the rear of the hardtop down and locked it tight but then oil started running out of the front locking cylinders above the windshield and they did not lock. So I thought I could just use the allen wrench and open the locked cylindres and push the roof down and relock them.
Here is my problem. The front cylinders will not budge either way I push the wrench. It's like they are seized tight. I don't want to push so hard as to strip the allen screw, Any Ideas why they would be tight and How can I make them work again manually?
Thank you
