Everyone has an opinion
Looking for r129 owners opinion on a color choice
After the winter months when the top is stored in its cubby I want to install a new top March/April 2024
R129 SL500 1998 #702 smoked silver
It has a black top now
i want to put a navy blue one on it
Do you think it should be black or will navy blue look good
Here your opinion is wanted

I would want blue though as all tops tend to be black

Black or blue would be OK…. Sometimes the color blue has to be pretty dark or it’ll look goofy. It also depends on your interior too, blue top against a black interior might look off but a blue top against the light grey or beige interior would look great. I for one am a fan of blue and considering the same change to blue for my top next spring.

Here is my thought, put your top down, take a photo of your SL, draw in an outline of the top when up, fill the outline in the color(s) you are considering. If multiple colors have multiple prints made. Even if .50 a copy it's cheaper than putting a top on a color you come to dislike.

Depends on interior color. Would go with a dark blue either way. Lighter interior would look great with dark blue.
