SL/R129: abs malfuntion

abs malfuntion
Has anyone ever had any problems with there abs & esp systems. Mine has been coming on and off at its own will the last few days?!?!?!? My friend suggested replacing the abs computer but when this happened not even a year ago that is what they replaced at the dealership. Now the car is out of warranty and as we know sl600 cost $$$$ to fix

On a long road trip recently ... at highway speeds, the BAS/ESP warning light would come on. I'd loose about 30% of the power. I'd stop, shut the car off then restart and the light would go off. Full power would be restored. Till the light would come on again an hour or days later.
At my regular maintenance they diagnosed a Brake Sensor problem. They fixed that and no more light.
Then a couple of weeks later the light came on two more separate times on different days At 5 mph in our parkade.
I returned to MB. They then diagnosed a Brake Booster Travel Sensor problem. They fixed that. No more lights.
These two instances did not affect the car's safety ... just annoyingly
limited the power for erronious brake sensor device signals.

It is hard for me to be specific. I don't know which descriptions or numbers are significat for parts reference. There are different references on the invoice I recieved a copy of:
First time:
- Replace faulty Stop Lamp Switch
- 1 001-545-01-09 Brk. Lamp Switch
- Replace faulty Brake Lamp Switch
Second time:
- 431110 Brake Boost Travel Sensor
- 1 001-540-15-17 Sender Unit
- Replace BAS Brake Diaphram Travel Sensor

well i took her in an it ended up being a faulty stop switch. whewww it was only 100 in repairs and i got the full detail for 200. Let me tell you if you want you vehicle to look like the day you bought it get a factory detail they went all out the car looks great
