swapping glove box lid

Hi, Has anyone had success in swapping out the flip lid on the glove box? I have had a broken hinge on mine for years that I repaired and now have the chance to buy a replacement glove box.. I'm worried about matching the dash with the new one and was thinking of replacing the front flap with the old one? Any thoughts are appreciated!

The lid itself is attached by (I believe) 3 small bolts.

I recently swapped out my entire glove box compartment and kept my original lid.

It is a delicate thing to tinker with.

The lid is now gone.

Thanks, I thought it might be plastic riveted on I'd have to swap the entire metal bar mechanism over..
It's a very expensive part and I'm just worried I'll pay the big bucks and then be disappointment it doesn't match.. Any more info on swapping the faces over would be great!

I pulled the compartment out in order to swap in a new compartment with the rear cover. With the compartment out, the front cover can be removed.

Here's the video.

Thanks, I've had it out no worries. you can see my little hinge repair here.. It's just taking the front door off I'm unsure of, but if you say it can be done I'll go for it.
